Expecting 20+ knots sustained wind and with too much surge for 18-knot, we moved to the lee side of Big Major’s Spot.   The anchorage has much better protection from the NE winds.

During the afternoon, we visited the “wild pigs” of Big Major’s.  "Wild"…they may not be living on a farm, they may be subsistence surviving on the island…but they are as tame as any domesticated pig Katie ever raised.  You can scratch their side and they plop over onto the sand for a belly rub.  They are so used to boaters; they actually swim out to approaching dinghies, hoping for food.   I could not resist the opportunity to get up close and personal.  You can take the girl off the farm, but you cannot take the farm out of the girl J

We celebrated Steve’s 57th birthday with a dinner ashore at the Fowl Cay Resort. At $75/person, we expected quite a meal.  Although the food was sub-par, we had an enjoyable time chatting with resort guests and managers.  The dinghy ride home to the boat was windy and wet.  The big blow has arrived.  Sustained winds at 10PM are around 25 knots.  The wind generators are cranking out energy and we will definitely need earplugs to sleep tonight.
